Relining with UV

Discover our

UV Relining supplies

In UV relining the existing pipe is cleaned and inspected before a flexible liner made from felt or glass fibre and saturated with a photo reactive resin is inserted. The liner is inflated to fit snugly against the pipe wall, and UV lamps pass through it to activate the resin, curing the material within minutes and creating a smooth corrosion resistant pipe within the old one. Because the method is trenchless there is minimal disruption to roads, landscaping and property, and the resulting pipe has a service life of many decades.

Use

The right UV curing system

A modern UV curing system pulls one or more UV lamps through the inflated liner while monitoring curing parameters, requiring less equipment and energy than steam or hot water methods. UV XAIR is an advanced system inspired by racing technology; it’s single ultra-high-power UV head is the most compact single head available in the industry. Despite its compact size, the head outputs more UV light than any of it’s competitors, thanks to patented innovations. It cures pipes from DN 70 to DN 600. The wireless tablet and three wheel tractor allow fast, controlled installations and the integrated cloud panel records video, temperature, pressure and speed, generating automatic quality reports.

Your liner

UVRelining’s House Liner range comes in two versions that raise the standard for inversion liners. Both the three dimensional liner and the Standard liner are made from one hundred percent recycled PET bottle material and have a robust fibercore of six hundred grams per square metre for strength and durability. A patented inner PU coating protects the liner from external elements before, during and after installation and they are designed to work with UVRelining’s light curing systems and UVLCR resin for a seamless installation. The UVHL three dimensional liner can accommodate diameter transitions of up to fifty percent and is available in sizes from DN 63 to DN 300, while the Standard variant is available from DN 70 to DN 300. Both versions provide easy, durable and wrinkle free installations across a wide range of job sites.

Resin

NDW offers three methacrylate based, one component resins that include a UV initiator for curing the resin during installation. Each formulation is styrene free and suited to inversion lining, pull in place and short liner repairs, and they cure under UV light. NDW UV Resin provides good chemical resistance and mechanical strength, NDW UV Plus Resin delivers higher chemical and mechanical properties, and NDW UV Max Resin offers maximum performance with a tack free surface and adhesion to PVC. All three resins adhere well to vitrified clay, concrete and steel. NDW UV Resins come in containers of twenty, two hundred and one thousand litres.
